About Kyrgyzstan Expedition

Aztorin unleashes the desire for adventure. With it on your wrist, you want to act, conquer, race off into the unknown. All those who’ve already set off on an Aztorin expedition know this, and there have already been several of them. They also know that an Aztorin watch is a faithful travel companion, performing well in difficult circumstances. And this journey confirmed this again – an enduro trail of tens of kilometres through mountainous Kyrgyzstan put human perseverance and the endurance of equipment to the test.

On the map the route resembled a triangle with equal sides and sections branching off, starting and ending in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, with notable historical and scenic sights along the way.

The Kyrgyz gravel roads demand unfailing concentration. And when you have to go off-road, which was often necessary in order to reach the destination? Each time the fantastic views were worth the effort – picturesque lakes, the imposing ridges of the Tian Shan range. This majestic landscape was an opportunity to reflect and regain strength for the journey ahead.

Köl-Suu lake finally reached! When the seasons change this unique body of water… simply disappears. During the dry season you can walk on the bed of the lake. We had the chance to admire the extremely picturesque ”wet” version.

Off-road expeditions are governed by their own rules. fuel poured into the tank from a bucket? Go for it! Makeshift tyre patches? There’s no other way to do it.

Kyrgyzstan is a breathtaking expanse. The mountains are a constant feature of the landscape – surrounding you, looming in the distance, or forming the horizon. There are scenic pearls, like the endorheic basins Song Kol lake or Tosor Lake, one of the most picturesque Kyrgyz passes. Many places are hard to reach other than by off-road motorcycle. Who if not us?

On our way we came across Kyrgyz locals, who treated us with great hospitality. Their strength of character, pride and modesty are all shaped by the harsh conditions in which they live. And it certainly won’t be easy to forget the delights of Kyrgyzstan’s simple yet delicious cuisine!
